Privacy Policy
Last updated 20 September 2026. Crosstown is operated for users in the United States. You must be 18 or older to use it.
1. What we collect

| Phone number — hashed only | Phone verification is optional. If you use it we store a one-way hash to stop one number creating many accounts. We do not keep the number itself. |

2. Biometric information
Photo verification scans your face. That is biometric information and we treat it as such. Verification is required on Crosstown, so read the Verification Privacy Policy before signing up — it sets out exactly what is collected, why, who processes it, how long it is kept, and how to have it destroyed.
We do not sell, lease, trade or otherwise profit from biometric information, and we do not disclose it except to the processor named below.
3. Who processes your data

| Google AdMob | Serves optional rewarded ads, where enabled. |
4. We do not sell or share your personal information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are used in California law. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months.
5. How long we keep it
While your account is active. If you do not use Crosstown for 90 days, the account and its data — including your photos and verification selfie — are deleted automatically. You can delete everything sooner at any time.
6. Your rights
Wherever you live in the United States, you can:
- Delete your account and data — in the app under Profile → Delete account, or via this page.
- Know what we hold about you, and request a copy.
- Correct anything wrong — most of it is editable directly in your profile.
- Opt out of sale or sharing — there is nothing to opt out of, because we do not do either.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
To make a request, email smewritingagency@gmail.com from your account's email address. We respond within 45 days.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access rules are enforced on our servers, not only in the app: your photos live under your own storage path, and another member cannot read your messages, your verification selfie or your contact details.
8. Children
Crosstown is strictly 18+. We reject any profile with an age under 18, and we delete accounts found to belong to minors. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
9. Changes
If we change this policy materially we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
